Partner

John is an exceptional business and real estate attorney.  He has substantial experience in most areas of transactional law, including entity formation; business licensing and permitting; real estate sales and exchanges; entity and business sales and acquisitions; business contracts; land entitlement; eminent domain; leasing and unlawful detainer; secured financing; and commercial lending.  John also performs estate and tax planning and probate work for clients.

He is a leading practitioner in the area of solar development in California’s Central Valley. John represented the first developer in Fresno County to obtain cancellation of a Williamson Act contact to permit the construction of a commercial solar facility and successfully defended the administrative and court challenges by opponents.  He also developed the transaction structure, procedures, and documents used to accomplish a multi-party, developer build-to-suit transaction with PG&E, which have become the company standard for acquiring interconnection facilities.  He subsequently represented Fortune 500 corporations and the world’s largest private investment companies to complete many additional land entitlement transactions.

John’s practice also includes representing clients in litigation and arbitration to resolve their business and real estate disputes.  John excels in advancing and protecting his client’s interests in complex situations and in eliminating their legal problems in a cost-effective manner.
